Fingerprint Tutoring and Services, LLC

I started Fingerprint Tutoring and Services, LLC  in May 2017.  After teaching for over 5 years in special education at Warsaw Community High School, I decided to privately tutor in order to stay at home with my young son, Rhett. I was homeschooled for several years, attended Warsaw Christian School for elementary school, and graduated from Warsaw Community High School in 2007. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Grace College in 2011 with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education K-6 and in Special Education Mild Interventions K-12.  Also, in 2019, I began my master's by taking a class in language and literacy development in young children.

I worked for 5.5 years as a high school special education teacher, where I taught and tutored all high school subjects within a Resource Study Hall, with a specialty in writing and reading comprehension.  I also co-taught English 9 and English 11 alongside many English teachers to classrooms of struggling readers and writers.  In addition, I maintained a yearly caseload of 25 students with Individualized Education Plans, providing accommodations and modifications based on student needs.  I meanwhile worked to help them learn, plan, and pursue post high school dreams and goals.  For the past 4 years, I have taught homeschool high school writing, speech, and debate classes, worked with community programs for special education students on waivers, and have worked on reading interventions for all ages.

Since Fingerprint Tutoring began, I have tutored clients in all subjects, grades, and ability levels.  From teaching young students to read, providing life-skill curriculum, and providing homework assistance, I have expanded my expertise and experience to a broader range.

On a personal level, I married my high school sweetheart, Ryan, in 2011, and we joyously welcomed our son, Rhett in 2016, our son, Ro in 2018, and our daughter, Jocelyn, in April of 2021. Finally, life wouldn’t be complete without our spunky Vizsla, Charlie. We attend Pleasant View Bible Church in Warsaw, IN. We love to travel, backpack, spend time with our extended family and close friends, be outside in our yard, and play board games with whoever will join us.
